AIDES

Aides work closely with catechists and is a great role for those newly interested in teaching to get their feet wet.

THE primary roles of an aide INCLUDE:

  • strong communication and readiness to assist the catechist in preparing and teaching a class.

  • A love for god’s children and ability to help them succeed in the classroom at their level.

  • even more than the catechist, who often will need to focus on the class as a whole, an aide is able to encounter the individual children and make sure they are seen, known, and loved every class.

BECAUSE WE STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER OF CHRIST IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE THAT SEEK HIM, WE INCORPORATE A 60/40 PRINCIPLE IN OUR CATECHESIS. 60% OF OUR FOCUS IS ON EVANGELIZATION AND 40% IS ON CATECHESIS. IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO LEARN ABOUT THE FAITH…”BUT WITHOUT LOVE, I AM ONLY A RESOUNDING GONG OR A CLANGING CYMBAL.”

All teaching ministries require yearly renewal of safe environment training per diocesan guidelines. find out more here.
